We Do It Different

Sunu Transit is a woman owned enterprise that commenced it's operations in 2024 as a car rental company. The company was formed to provide short and long-term rentals to individuals who require temporary vehicles, travellers who are going out of town and owners of damaged vehicles who are awaiting repair or insurance compensation.

What We Do

The problem Sunu Transit is solving is the socio-economic problems of limited mobility for local residents and the tourism sector's lack of reliable transportation, and addresses the tourism sector problem of unpredictable and inconvenient access to vehicles. By providing accessible and convenient transportation solutions, Sunu Transit enhances local economic activity and enables tourists to explore the area more freely.

Today, we're organized with numerous local and international partners to assist in making the movement of people during their travels within and outside The Gambia easier.

We have a fleet of over 20 vehicles to meet the needs of our consumers. These vehicles include SUVs, Mini Vans and Buses.

We offer many services for the local community, Gambian's living in the diaspora and tourists from all over the world. Among these are airport transfers in Gambia and Senegal, wedding car rentals, executive transportation services, premium student transport and premium private hire. We also offer motor insurance as an add-on service as well.

What is the minimum age and how old do i have to be to rent a vehicle with Sunu Transit?
For rentals in Gambia. Each driver must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid driving licence for the duration of the rental period. A minimum of 2 years driving licence are compulsory
What documents do i need to rent a vehicle?
The documents required to rent a vehicle with us are: Valid National Identity Card or Passport Driving licence and, if necessary, an international driving licence (depending on where you come from).

Which driving permits are accepted?
Sunu Transit accepts all valid driving licences that are submitted together with the documents required by law. Please remember that the National ID document or Passport must have been issued by the same country as the driving license.
